| Summary: There are a ton of tools to love here, and the bloodlines are real too as he is the nephew of Barry Bonds. Coming into the season there were some questions with the hit tool and bat speed, but the bat speed has improved this spring and the hit tool is looking better. There is still certainly some stiffness in the swing and I would like to see a bit more fluidity and whippiness, but there is a ton of strength at impact. The high hand set helps him get to the zone well, although a mild bat wrap does lead to him being a tick behind at times. Defensively he can certainly stick in center and he has good wheels that play both on the bases and in the grass. There is a massive up arrow next to Bonds’ name. | |||||||||||
