| Summary: An athletic, loose-moving right-hander with real projection traits, Fitzpatrick shows the kind of body control and arm speed that evaluators like to bet on long term. He works from a three-quarters slot with deliberate tempo and an aggressive move down the mound, pulling his body through the delivery and creating good extension out front. The fastball currently operates in the low-to-mid 90s and has reached 95, showing life through the zone with carry and subtle tail, especially when elevated. There’s more coming as strength and efficiency continue to build, and he already shows the ability to hold velocity deeper into outings. The breaking-ball mix is led by a slider in the upper-70s to low-80s that has taken a step forward, flashing tighter shape and two-plane action with growing confidence glove side. He’ll also mix in a deeper curveball that adds vertical separation, giving him multiple looks to change eye levels. Strike-throwing has trended in the right direction, though the delivery can get effortful at times, leading to occasional lapses in precision. A changeup is present but still developing, and its refinement will be important for neutralizing left-handed hitters as he climbs. | |||||||||||
