| Player: Pete Crow-Armstrong | Scout Date: 4/4/19 | ||
| Organization: Harvard-Westlake (2020 Draft) | Position(s): CF | ||
| Height: 6’ | Weight: 175 lbs. | Bats: Left | Throws: Left |
| Hit: Smooth, gets foot down well after medium leg kick. Line drive swing. Good body control that allows him to follow ball and fight off with two strikes. | |||
| Power: Ball jumps, can add more plane to swing that suggests some real future power. | |||
| Run: 4.1 Home to first. | |||
| Arm: Yet to see it unleashed but has shown good accuracy. Strength doesn’t seem to be there, probably more of a 40 current with a future 45. | |||
| Glove: Natural center fielder. Comfortable at the position. Seems to glide to ball. Plus range, likely plus overall defender in center. | |||
| Other: Minimal exposure to him so far, will be making it a point to get eyes on him multiple times before 2020 draft. | |||
| Summary: It is too early to call on my full take on Crow-Armstrong as I have only seen one game thus far. First instincts are he is a no brainer center fielder with a pretty swing that drives the ball. Would be surprised if I don’t have first round grade on him next Spring and expect to see him a lot via showcase circuit this summer. | |||
