| Summary: With a plus fastball that just recently touched triple digits for the first time and above-average slider to go with is, Gregory-Alford has as good a 1-2 mix as any prep arm in the 2024 class. How high he is drafted and his future role will depend on his ability to show feel for a third pitch (currently a rarely used change) and improving his command. He served as the closer for Team USA over the summer and dominated in the role. While the reliever risk is big, he could be a dominant high leverage reliever at the back of any bullpen. May be an arm, demeanor, and body that fits best out of the pen, but the upside in that role is still very high. |
