2026 MLB Draft: Kevin Roberts Jr., RHP/OF, Jackson Prep

Edit: Updated height to 6’5″ per the player. Most recently measured 6’4.75″, I rounded up to 6’5″.

Player: Kevin Roberts Jr.
School: Jackson Prep (MS)Position(s): RHP/ OF
Height: 6’5″Weight: 210Bats: RightThrows: Right
Summary: Want a player you can dream on in terms of potential while also producing current tools and production? Look no further than Roberts. Scouts don’t often go out looking at high school sophomores, but every team already has some detailed reports as he was a teammate of the ninth overall pick in 2024, Konnor Griffin. Roberts is a long bodied player who has seen time at short and center, although long term he profiles best at right field. He has a ton of bat speed, although he can get out in front of spin too often currently, he does fight off good pitches well to allow him to get into the power, which is true double plus raw. The arm in the field could well get a double plus grade too, but that is also part of the reason he is a true pitching prospect as well. With a fastball already up to 94, it doesn’t take much projection to see him flirting with triple digits by draft day. He is really a one pitch arm currently, although he does have a curveball that has flashed really well and the makings of a change that could be an average pitch in the future.
