| Summary: After two seasons with Miami, Cyr moves to the Gators where he will likely be their every day second baseman. Let’s start there, as he has seen time at short, but his future is really at the four which does hurt his value a bit. That said, overall his value comes from the bat and his makeup, which is certainly something scouts love. At the dish he has a knack for getting the most out of his contact, as he can get backspin on the ball and it tends to carry quite well and it can be above average power to the pull side. That power comes primarily from elite bat speed as he isn’t the most physical player, but that bat speed also allows him to make plenty of contact. He should be a quality defender at second, but the profile is pretty heavily reliant on the bat. | |||||||||||
