| Summary: Looking for a dark horse to be the top catcher off the board, look no further than Brooks Bryan. Bryan has incredible raw power that does play in game action. He is a fastball first, second, and only hitter, as he will absolutely murder velocity in the zone, but he does struggle against spin at times. That said, he does a good job staying in the zone and does not chase often, allowing him to be a power bat who gets on base. Behind the dish he does a really good job keeping the ball in front of him when in the dirt, although the hands overall receiving are just average. He has plenty of arm strength, but the accuracy can be off at times as it tails arm side. At worst, this is a power bat on the heavy side of a platoon while being serviceable behind the dish, while at best he could be an everyday catcher with big power numbers and average to better defense. | |||||||||||
