| Summary: UCSB is no stranger to producing high end arm talent, with Tyler Bremner getting the attention going into the 2025 season, it has been jackson Flora who has been making a name for himself, much like Bremner did a year ago when scouts were coming out to see Matt Ager. Flora runs his fastball up to 99 with plenty of carry and tail. He has a sweeping slider in the low 80s and mixes in a change now and then, but lacks a present feel for the pitch. The arm action is quite whippy which does lead to some inconsistencies in release point, most commonly missing arm side. There is plenty of long term reliever risk here given the lack of a reliable third offering and the arm action, but steps forward on those two fronts this summer and next Spring could make him an arm worthy of first round consideration from a team who believes he can stick as a starter. | |||||||||||
