| Summary: My 223rd ranked prospect in the 2022 draft, Lamkin wasn’t much of a consideration for teams in the draft as his commitment to Texas A&M was very strong. He has spent time in the rotation all three years at College Station and has improved each season. He is exactly what you expect out of a lefty starter with a fastball that sits in the low-90s with a ton of action and a big breaking ball. He also tunnels a changeup well that gets swings and misses, especially against right handed hitters. He commands all three pitches well and has shown he can work both in the rotation and has some experience out of the bullpen. Overall this is a number four or five starter type, but one who could one day end up in a big league rotation and eat up quality innings for a team. | |||||||||||
