| Summary: Polished lefthander with athleticism and pitchability that stand out. Works primarily off a low-90s fastball that plays well at the top of the zone thanks to its natural life. Has been up to 96 and likely to tick up further as he matures. Complements it with a loopy curveball that flashes depth, a shorter slider he deploys mostly against lefties, and a deceptive changeup with fading action. The arsenal plays up thanks to a simple, repeatable delivery, quality extension, and good strike-throwing ability. Though undersized for a typical starter, Ojeda’s feel for pitching and mound presence separate him. Carved out a prominent role early in his career at UC Irvine, first in the pen then the rotation, piling up strikeouts while limiting damage and showing the traits of a reliable rotation arm. Fastball-heavy now, the secondaries will need to tighten, but the pitchability and athleticism are in place. Still just 20 for the 2026 Draft, Ojeda has the ingredients of a potential early-round pick. | |||||||||||
