| Summary: Meyer brings big-league arm strength with a fastball that sits in the mid-90s and has touched 98. The pitch jumps out of a whippy delivery from a lower three-quarter slot, creating tough angles when he’s on time. Even with late effort and some body lean in the finish, the velocity and life make the heater a bat-missing weapon at its best. The slider pairs well, spinning with elite metrics and reaching the upper 80s while flashing sharp two-plane break. He’ll also mix in a power curveball for a different look, though the shape and execution lag behind the slider. At times, the secondaries show the potential to dominate, but inconsistency in release and command hold them back. Control lapses have been the red flag, with stretches of scattered strikes and arm-slot variability when his shoulder pulls open. The raw stuff is loud enough to profile in a rotation if he finds more consistency, but the fallback is a late-inning relief role where the fastball-slider combo could play at a high level. | |||||||||||
