| Summary: Moss operates with a loose, whippy arm and a polished delivery that projects comfortably into a starter role. His fastball has climbed into the mid-90s, touching 96, and shows late life with tailing action from a three-quarters slot. The calling card is his changeup, a true plus pitch with excellent separation and heavy horizontal movement that routinely fools hitters. He also mixes a mid-80s slider that flashes two-plane bite, though it can be inconsistent at times. Working from the far first-base side of the rubber, Moss creates tough angles that add to his deception. The long arm stroke generates extension down the mound, allowing his fastball and changeup to play up even more. While the slider lags behind his two primary offerings, its flashes of quality suggest another usable weapon. With a strong foundation of pitchability and a changeup already ahead of the curve, Moss fits the mold of a durable weekend starter with room to grow into more if the slider tightens. | |||||||||||
He can still swing it some too!
