| Summary: Collier’s path has always been accelerated—he reclassified into the 2022 draft by way of Chipola Junior College, he signed for $5 million as a 17-year-old first-rounder, and has consistently been among the youngest at every stop. The left-handed bat shows real thump, with plus power that plays to all fields and a track record of damage when locked in, highlighted by a Futures Game MVP and 20-homer season at High-A Dayton in 2024. He pairs natural bat speed with zone awareness, though swing-and-miss remains part of the equation, particularly against velocity up in the zone. Even so, his contact metrics track near big-league averages, a positive sign for a hitter still developing at such a young age. Defensively, Collier owns the arm strength for third but the frame is still adding weight, and below-average range is already pushing him toward first base. The Reds have given him looks at both corners, but the defensive questions only add pressure to the bat. If he stays healthy after thumb surgery cost him a chunk of 2025, which is a big reason he is headed to the Arizona Fall League, his combination of youth (he won’t turn 21 until late November), power, and approach refinement still points to an impact left-handed hitter, even with streakiness baked into the profile. | |||||||||||
