| Summary: Brandon Arvidson, a 6’5″ long, lean LHP, works from a high arm slot with a fastball reaching 95mph, sitting in the 92-93 range. He accompanies the fastball with a late biting slider (83-86mph) that has proven to consistently miss bats. In his first season with the Vols, Arvidson struck out 70 in 38.2 innings (42.2% strikeout rate). The Tennessee faithful were pleased to find out Arvidson, who was draft eligible in 2025, will be headed back to Knoxville for the 2026 season. The lefty proved to be effective through multiple innings out of the pen, including some high leverage situations in Hoover during the 2025 SEC Conference tournament. Though primarily coming out of the bullpen for the Vols in 2025, Arvidson may enter the rotation for Tennessee in 2026 according to Vitello. Arvidson has room to add strength and additional size in his 6″5″ frame. With another year in the highly competitive SEC and an additional year to physically mature, Arvidson is poised to see his draft stock rise. | |||||||||||
