2026 MLB Draft: Jack Arcamone, C/OF, Georgia

Player: Jack Arcamone
School: GeorgiaPosition(s): C/OF
Height: 6’1”Weight: 195Bats: LeftThrows: Right
Summary:
It was a surprise to not hear Jack Arcamone’s name be called during this past draft, as he put up some eye-popping numbers with the bat during his time at Richmond. Across his two years in the A-10, he recorded an OPS of .998 with 19 home runs for the Spiders, but will face a whole new challenge this spring after transferring into the SEC, joining an already potent Georgia team looking to qualify for the NCAA tournament for the third straight year.

Offensively, Arcamone presents an intriguing offensive profile. He has posted great numbers throughout his collegiate and summer ball career, despite consistently striking out close to 30% of the time. This is due in part to one of the best batted ball profiles in the country, as he hits the ball extremely hard nearly every time he makes contact while also drawing significant numbers of walks. It will be interesting to watch how this translates to the SEC, as better pitching may expose some of the holes in his swing, forcing him to adapt his game to the new environment. His explosive raw power has taken him to this point – whether or not he can continue to consistently tap into it in-game will determine just how high he can go in the draft.

Defensively, Arcamone is a decent catcher for the collegiate game, but most likely will not stick there long-term. His framing, arm, and pop time could all use work, but is athletic enough so that a full-time outfield or first base role would not be hard to manage. Ultimately, he should put as much focus as possible into the offensive side of the game, and a move out from behind the dish should allow him to fully maximize his potential.
