2026 MLB Draft: Dominic Voegele, RHP, Kansas

Player: Dominic Voegele
School: University of KansasPosition(s): RHP
Height: 6’2″Weight: 200lbsBats: RightThrows: Right
Summary:
Voegele, the 6’2″ 200lbs right hander from St. Louis should be the anchor of the KU staff entering his Junior year with the Jayhawks. After a freshmen campaign that saw him earn Big 12 Freshmen of the Year honors, Voegele helped lead Kansas to their first NCAA tournament since 2014 in the 2025 season.
Voegele works from the 1st base side of the rubber with a repeatable, low effort delivery. The fastball has been up to 97mph this fall, complimented by a slider that has seen a jump in velocity (85-87mph). The fastball carries through the zone with arm side run, while the slider has late vertical downward bite. The difference maker could be the changeup, a pitch both Voegele and the KU coaching staff are working to further develop as the 2026 season approaches. Though Voegele replicated the dominance he enjoyed during his freshman year in 2025 at times, he did see his BB/9 and homeruns allowed rise.

The righty looks to have added strength in the offseason, with Coach Fitzgerald noting he looks better than he ever has. Should the changeup find more consistency, Voegele’s 3-pitch mix should find him shooting up draft boards in 2026.
