Summary:
Cohen’s game is built on pure bat-to-ball skill. The left-handed swing is efficient and repeatable, living on line drives from line to line with almost no wasted movement. He sees pitches early, avoids expanding, and rarely misses in-zone — the kind of hit tool foundation that carries prospects a long way. The tradeoff is a very ground-ball heavy profile, which keeps the power output modest despite better underlying exit numbers. Any bump in loft or pulled-air contact would noticeably raise his offensive ceiling.

In the field, he shows the instincts and reads to handle center, with enough straight-line speed to close gaps even when routes aren’t perfect. The arm is fringy but playable, and if center doesn’t stick long-term, he fits comfortably in left thanks to his tracking ability and overall feel for the position. The speed plays on the bases as well, both in jumps and reads.

As things stand, Cohen projects as a high-floor, contact-and-on-base outfielder whose value comes from consistency, approach, and athletic instincts. If the swing ever finds just a bit more lift, the profile shifts from steady contributor to everyday-caliber center fielder.
