| Summary: The Cape Cod League had many standouts during the 2025 season, but few boosted their stock in the way that Wake Forest RHP Troy Dressler did this summer. After a solid freshman year for the Demon Deacons, Dressler took it up a notch during his stint with Harwich. He posted an ERA of 2.39 in 6 appearances for the Mariners, showcasing improved stuff and an ability to thrive while facing some of the best hitters that college baseball has to offer. In his repertoire, Dressler relies on 3 main pitches to face hitters. His fastball will sit in the mid 90’s and has touched 97, with good life and great movement on the pitch. He mixes the fastball with a slider in the low 80’s that tunnels extremely well out of the hand and has good sweeping movement, as well as with a changeup in the mid 80’s with good sinking movement that generates a lot of whiffs. Mechanically, Dressler is very athletic in his movement. He is very fluid through release, and gets downhill well with great extension. He will utilize both the windup and the stretch, and is comfortable out of both. For Dressler, the key will be to build on his performance in the Cape this summer. If he can do that, he will be shaping up to be one of the better under-the-radar pitchers in the 2027 class. | |||||||||||
