2026 MLB Draft: Parker Loew, SS, Trinity Christian Academy

Player: Parker Loew
School: Trinity Christian Academy (FL)Position(s): SS
Height: 6′Weight: 180 lbs.Bats: RightThrows: Right
Summary:
Loew shows some of the louder offensive ingredients in the prep infield class, driven by explosive bat speed, natural strength, and the ability to generate lift when everything is synced. His swing features some pre-load movement — including bat wrap — but when he gets uncoiled on time, the barrel works directly through the zone with real whip and torque. The raw power is evident, especially to the pull side, and the batted-ball data backs up the impact potential. There have been stretches where issues staying synced between the hands and lower half have led to swing-and-miss, particularly against higher velocity, but the whiff rates have trended in the right direction year over year as timing has improved.

Defensively, the arm strength fits comfortably on the left side, and while the profile may eventually grow into more of a physical infielder than a twitchy one, there’s enough present athleticism to keep him in the middle for now. The upside hinges on continued refinement of timing and pitch recognition — if the contact rate continues to climb, the combination of bat speed, strength, and lift gives him a chance to become an impact offensive shortstop. His power ceiling and recent progress point toward a profile that could rise quickly with another step forward at the plate.
