| Summary: Aloy’s profile is driven almost entirely by impact from the right side. The swing is aggressive and built to do damage, with massive hacks and easy pull-side juice that can leave any part of the yard when he squares it. The ball jumps differently off his barrel, and the raw power comfortably projects into 30-homer territory if the at-bats are there. He does most of his damage against mistakes in the zone and fastballs he can turn on, though spin down and away can expose chase tendencies and create swing-and-miss. The pure hit tool likely settles closer to fringe-average against advanced command, placing pressure on the power to carry. Defensively, the home remains unsettled. He’s worked in right field and at first base, but routes in the outfield can lack confidence and the overall defensive value is limited. He’s a below-average runner and may ultimately fit best at first base or in a DH role. The offensive upside is real and loud, but how much overall value he provides will hinge on tightening the approach against breaking stuff and finding a defensive landing spot that doesn’t undercut the bat. | |||||||||||
