The athleticism and leadership behind the plate give the defensive profile a credible foundation, and the ability to handle first base adds versatility to the overall package. The bat is where the profile gets interesting. A left-handed stroke with advanced feel for the barrel, strong swing decisions and plus bat-to-ball ability give him a legitimate offensive foundation, and the physical frame carries power projection that hasn’t fully emerged yet.
