| Summary: 2027 Aidden Moten is as polished an infielder as they come. He is the youngest iteration of a family of multi-sport athletes and is determined to make the biggest impact on the diamond. Listed at 5’10” and 165 lbs. He has a compact and thin build with great mobility and quick-twitch movements. Despite the smaller frame, Moten’s physical talent includes a powerful arm, clocked at 88 mph in the infield, and an ability to generate high exit velocity for an athlete of his stature. The Los Angeles native is a joy to watch in the field. Aidden has superb footwork that is fluid to and through the baseball. He possesses an innate ability to read hops and maintain clean glove actions, never appearing off-balance. There are multiple slots he can throw from with confidence and knows when and where on the field to use them. Capable of fielding and throwing on the run like very few athletes are, there is not a play he can’t make in the infield. Offensively, he offers an athletic stance, keeping his hands above the baseball. Moten loads and hinges with a toe tap that triggers his quick hands through the zone, resulting in a rotational and explosive swing. With a contact-oriented approach, the righty is able to adjust to offspeed and place it in the outfield for base hits. When facing velocity, his quick-twitch and hands allow him to stay on time and generate power to drive the ball in the gaps when he gets the barrel to it. Would like to see him become more selective as he develops to find more slug. Excited to see how this 2027 infielder will develop physically and offensively at the next level. He is a very well-coached player with elite athleticism and unique defensive ability. If he adds muscle mass and strength as he grows, he can go far in this game. | |||||||||||
