| Summary: The power is the profile and it’s a legitimate one. A deep coil into the load with a wide stance and strong lower half generate lift-and-pull angles that allow plus raw power to show up consistently in games — mechanical adjustments to hold the backside longer have paid dividends in contact quality against both velocity and offspeed, and the strikeout rate has responded. When he’s locked in and getting to pitches in the lower two-thirds of the zone, the damage is real and the 30-plus home run upside is not a stretch. The contact ceiling is the variable that defines the role. Batting average will likely be suppressed by a flyball profile and persistent breaking ball struggles below the lower third, and the patience that serves him well in counts can border on passivity at times. The three true outcome profile is what it is — the walks offset some of the contact concerns, but the hit tool is unlikely to be better than fringy against the best arms. The mechanical gains have made the overall profile more functional without fundamentally changing the ceiling. A double-plus arm gives him defensive value in right field, and first base is a capable fallback — the long-term home will depend on organizational need rather than defensive limitations. The everyday corner bat or high-impact platoon role are both realistic outcomes, with the contact trajectory serving as the deciding factor. | |||||||||||
