| Summary: A fast, loose arm from a low three-quarter slot with good extension and a high leg kick that generates natural downhill plane — Britt’s delivery has the traits of a projectable starter and the athleticism to repeat it. The fastball sits 90-93 with riding life that generates swing-and-miss when elevated, and the pace and balance through the delivery give the command profile a foundation to build from. The glove-side miss with the heater is something to monitor but not a disqualifying trait given the overall operation. The upper-70s gyro slider with bite is the primary out pitch and already gets bad swings — the sharp downward break and late action give it genuine swing-and-miss potential that plays at this level and projects to carry further. A changeup at a similar speed with depth gives him a second secondary to develop alongside the breaking ball, and the overall three-pitch mix gives the starter profile legitimate depth for a prep arm. The projectable frame carries meaningful velocity upside as it fills out, and the combination of arm speed, delivery repeatability and secondary feel give the profile a wide range of outcomes on the upside. The spring will be an important evaluation window as the stuff and command continue to develop together. | |||||||||||
