| Summary: The raw power is the conversation starter and it’s already showing up in games. A physically imposing frame with strength distributed throughout gives the right-handed swing a double-plus power projection that flashes in live action — loading weight into the back leg and driving the barrel through the zone with leverage and bat speed that produces thunderous contact to all fields. The ability to keep hands inside the ball relatively well for the size and make contact at a high clip gives the power a functional shape rather than a pure pull-or-bust approach, and the swing plane generates the backspin and lift to drive the ball to dead center when he gets to his pitch. Some noise in the hands during the loading phase could create timing challenges as the competition level rises and premium velocity and harder spin become more consistent — adjustments will likely be required as the profile is introduced to a more rigorous sample. What the showcase scene has offered hasn’t fazed him, though, and the leadership traits and mature approach give the developmental trajectory real credibility. Behind the plate, a plus arm and understanding of momentum keep pop times manageable despite the large frame, but the reliance on the one-knee setup and challenges getting low in a conventional crouch point toward a positional move as a professional. First base, third base or right field are all receiving looks already, and any of them give the bat a natural home where the double-plus power projection can carry the evaluation without the defensive demands of catching undermining the value. The ceiling runs as far as the power can take it. | |||||||||||
