Height: 6’3″ Weight: 215 lbs.Bats: Right Throws: Right
Summary:
Following a monster freshman campaign Tokheim has firmly planted himself as one of the top sophomore eligible prospects to open the 2027 season. Bringing home a stockpile of hardware in 2026, including NCBWA Freshmen Hitter of the Year, his plus raw power and ability to do damage in all quadrants carry the profile.

His physicality stands out, with a 6’3″, 215 lbs. frame as a freshmen. In addition to a build that is constructed for power, Tokheim’s operation in the box allows for loud contact to all fields. The set up is slightly open with a higher leg kick to get things started. The separation he creates on the top half allows for elite bat speed and a heavy barrel through the zone. He fights pitcher’s pitches off well and punishes mistakes.

Questions often arise about a pro prospects potential with a wood bat in their hands. Tokheim is answering those questions this summer in the Northwoods. Through 15 games, he’s amassed 13 extra base hits, with 24 RBI and an OPS of 1.091.

Defensively, he fits well in a corner spot, with 3B being the primary. He spent much of his time this spring in the DH role. It will be interesting to see if he gets more time in the dirt for the Cardinal next season. A power bat with an evolving hit tool, Tokheim’s ceiling looks like 20+ home runs and a dynamic run producer.
