Player: Terence Sullivan
School: Junipero Serra (CA)Position(s): 1B
Height: 6’3″Weight: 225 lbs.Bats: LeftThrows: Right
Summary:

The uncommitted 2027 1B, Terence Sullivan, has had a huge summer so far, accruing invites and accolades from some of the top showcases and invitationals across amateur baseball. You should expect to see and hear more of him as his High School campaign comes to a close in the coming year. A Gardena Serra product who has steadily improved his game and matured as a ballplayer. Listed at 6’3” and 225 lbs. Sullivan’s solid frame at 1B definitely passes the eye test. At his size, he moves well laterally, maintains an athletic build and runs well for his position.

Defensively, Sullivan shows leadership qualities on the field, directing traffic and encouraging his pitchers. Glove work is clean and confident, attacks short and long hops well. The glove actions coupled with the nimble footwork are encouraging tools for his continued success at the 1B position.

At the plate is where the most potential and value lie for Sullivan. With his mass and athletic ability, the power is plentiful, and there is still untapped power in his bat. The lefty starts with an open stance, hands holding the bat at his ear. A quick leg lift and shift of weight into his frontside create all the power he needs, with a hefty uphill stroke. The swing is fluid and natural, looking to create backspin and launch to the gaps. He shows great ability to drive the ball to LCF as well as pull-side with power.

Sullivan will garner much attention in this 2027 recruiting season and could prove to be a legitimate draft prospect with his ML size, projectable power, and athletic instincts. There is much upside to be developed that very few amateur prospects have.
