| Summary: Rincon continues his climb as one of the top prep shortstops in the country after another successful summer circuit. There is plenty to get excited about for the 2027 who has added strength and additional polish to an already mature game. Defensively, Rincon is a primary shortstop and should stick there at the next level. He shows poise and comfort at the position rarely seen in a prep athlete. His actions are clean with with solid footwork, transfers and arm strength that has ticked up over the last year. High IQ defensive player. At the plate, its a sweet left handed swing with an advanced approach pointing toward potential plus power. His set up in the box is neutral with hands loaded high. He gets the swing started with a slight leg lift while drifting forward. He shows extension through contact working gap to gap and the ability to handle pitches in all quadrants. Rincon has continued to mature physically year over year. With that said, he could still stand to gain an additional 15-20lbs. to his long lean frame. Should he do so, it could change his future trajectory. A shift to third base would not be out of the question, though staying in the 6-hole should not be ruled out. His ceiling for power at the plate will be something to watch as strength is added. Right now its and advanced hit tool with a clean and repeatable operation. A first round talent committed to the University of Texas, Rincon has upside as high as any prep 2027 in next year’s draft. | |||||||||||

Eric Dillinger is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Erie High School, entering his 4th season as the Head Coach and 9th season overall. Dillinger was the pitching coach at Erie prior to becoming head coach. At the club level, he has coached nationally for multiple organizations including the Colorado Yard Dawgs, the Colorado Rockies Scout program, and USA Prime. Dillinger is also currently the General Manager for D-BAT NW Denver. In addition to his duties as GM, he is also a senior pitching instructor. He is certified in Rapsodo Pitching and is also Driveline Certified (Pitch Design). Beyond coaching on the field, Dillinger enjoys helping athletes in the recruiting process. He has helped over 40 athletes find homes at the next level.
