Summary: A athletic mover with a pro-style frame, Yormack certainly looks the part of an SEC caliber arm. The Vanderbilt commit has done plenty to help his stock in 2026 as he continues to refine an already advanced arsenal. The right-hander primarily works with a three-pitch mix anchored by a fastball topping 96 mph. He complements it with a change-up in the mid to high 80’s. It shows both tumble and arm-side fade. The curveball works in the high 70’s and can show significant depth, though it does play more slurvey at times. He’s known for pounding the zone with all three offerings adding to the allure of an already high ceiling prospect.
The advanced command is no doubt a result of his fluid, repeatable operation. Yormack works into a higher leg kick while his longer levers work around a controlled center. It’s a three-quarter slot that at times, can drop to a lower three-quarter delivery, making for an uncomfortable at bat for right-handers. He gets above average extension down the mound through a lower effort delivery. Expect Yormack to continue to trend upwards as we approach 2027. The command, durable frame, and overall operation point to success at the next level.
