| Summary: Bradley is built around a rare combination of size and present stuff — a long, lean frame with real room left to fill out, the kind teams love to dream on, paired with more quick-twitch athleticism than a frame his size usually carries. The fastball has jumped a full grade in the span of a year, sitting in the low-90s as recently as last spring and now working up to 96-97 with high spin that generates real life up in the zone and armside run, especially tough on right-handed hitters. The arm action is a little shorter with some cross-body action that adds deception, and while there’s moderate effort at release right now, evaluators expect that to smooth out as he adds strength. The breaking-ball picture is still sorting itself out — both a slider and a curveball are present in the arsenal, and neither has settled into a consistently distinct shape yet, but both pitches have flashed real quality in individual looks. There’s a natural feel for spinning the ball that’s ahead of where the present shape suggests, and the expectation is that at least one of the two develops into a genuine weapon as he refines them individually. The changeup remains furthest behind, still in the early stages of development. Strike-throwing is the clearest present need — control currently grades as fringe-average, and turning swing-and-miss stuff into consistent strikes will be the next real test as the rest of the profile continues to develop. Between a fastball that already looks like a plus pitch and a long runway of physical development still ahead, Bradley carries some of the highest upside of any arm in his class, with the breaking-ball shapes and strike-throwing as the pieces that will determine how much of that ceiling gets unlocked. | |||||||||||
