Player: Caleb Daniel
School: Georgia TechPosition(s): OF/2B
Height: 6’0″Weight: 188 lbs. Bats: LeftThrows: Right
Summary:
Daniel is a highly touted left-handed bat entering his third season with the Yellow Jackets. After an impressive freshman campaign that saw Daniel slash .312/.397/.507, he followed it up with a stellar sophomore season on a loaded Georgia Tech squad. In 2026 Daniel saw the power numbers increase in five few games played, ending with 10 home runs on the year. All signs point to that number continuing to climb as Daniel physically matures and adds strength.

The stroke is smooth with control of the barrel showing natural loft. Daniel starts slightly open with hands slotted high. The leg kick can vary in height at times as he gains considerable ground toward the pitcher. He works off of a strong base utilizing the lower half well. His strikeout % (26.3%) ticked up a bit in 2026 with the additional power. Though he generally handles spin and velocity well, the hope is that number comes down in 2027.

Daniel is a versatile defender, however most of his time is spent in leftfield. He’s made plenty of highlight real plays for the Jackets in the outfield in his first two seasons. The arm is sufficient for leftfield and the athleticism and route running point to that being his eventual landing spot at the next level.

Should he continue the physical trajectory he’s on while cutting down the strikeouts, Daniel could be an impact Day 2 pick in July.
