| Summary: Guy checks the boxes evaluators look for in a projectable arm — a lean, still-filling-out frame, a delivery that repeats without much effort, and advanced strike-throwing for his age that’s shown up at every level of competition he’s faced this spring and summer. The fastball already sits comfortably in the low-90s and has touched 93, playing beyond the radar reading thanks to a low release point and real extension out front, with more velocity still to come as he continues to fill out physically. Both secondaries remain works in progress but have flashed real promise. The changeup shows good sink and fade and has already produced swing-and-miss against advanced competition, while the breaking ball is further behind in present feel but has shown enough spin and shape to project as a future weapon once it’s more consistently commanded. The overall package here is a strike-throwing foundation paired with a fastball that already plays above the pure velocity and two secondaries trending in the right direction — the kind of profile that gives him a real chance to develop into a legitimate rotation piece as the physical projection continues to fill in and the offspeed pitches catch up to the fastball’s present feel. | |||||||||||
