Summary:
Euper has built real Day-One momentum off a breakout year that saw him move from a limited relief role into a full-time rotation spot and claimed the role for good, taking hold of the job at a new program after an in-state transfer. The fastball has trended in the right direction all year, showing a real velocity bump between the spring season and his summer look, and he’s reached back for as high as 96 at his absolute peak — a real, if infrequent, top-end reading that speaks to real remaining physical upside on a tall, still-filling-out frame. The pitch plays up further thanks to excellent extension and a flat approach angle through the top of the zone, missing bats even in stretches where the raw velocity reading wasn’t the loudest in the profile.

The breaking-ball mix is a genuine strength, with two distinct weapons rather than one blended pitch. The curveball is the bigger, more traditional shape — a two-plane breaker in the low-to-mid 70s that’s generated both groundballs and real swing-and-miss, grading as a true plus offering by the time his summer ended. A tighter, harder slider in the high-70s has worked well against same-side hitters, giving him a real weapon from a different velocity band and shape.

The changeup remains the piece to stay cautious on. It’s shown flashes of real development — a reworked changeup grip introduced late in the spring picked up real usage against right-handed hitters over the summer — but it’s still been a limited weapon for stretches of his career, and until it becomes a more consistent, trusted fourth pitch, it caps some of the platoon-neutral upside the rest of the arsenal already supports.

Between a fastball with real remaining ceiling, two distinct and effective breaking balls, and a track record of missing bats at a high clip while limiting free passes, Euper profiles as a legitimate Day 1 college arm — the changeup is the one piece of unfinished business standing between this and a true top-of-the-class projection.
