| Summary: In terms of pure physical projection, there isn’t a ton left in Rummel as he has a mature frame and will be 19 on draft day, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of projection in his arsenal. He has a fastball that has been up to 96 but can sit in the lower to mid 90s with ease. It is a heavy pitch with real sink and could be classified as a sinker rather than fastball given the life on the pitch. His breaking ball has real depth to it from sitting anywhere from 76-82, it can vary between a slider and curve look but not enough separation to be two separate pitches from what I can tell. He has a controlled and balanced delivery that can be a bit stiff forcing him to fight his body and creating some inconsistencies in the release point. The 3/4 slot with some cross body action does allow his pitches to play up, but the command concerns and two pitch mix leaves him with real reliever risk. | |||||||||||
