| Summary: Ranked 86th for me in the 2024 class, it was a bit of a surprise to see Franco make it to campus, but TCU certainly won’t complain. Officially listed on the Horned Frogs roster as a LHP/1B, there is still plenty of debate as to where he has a higher upside, on the mound or at the plate. I still believe he can play outfield as he has solid speed and range to go with a plus arm that plays well in right. At the plate he has a smooth line drive stroke where he leverages his body well getting solid power out of the bat, although the hit tool is ahead of the power. On the mound he is up to 93 as a lefty to go with a solid slider and change. He comes from a higher 3/4 slot allowing him to work downhill well and he displays solid command of all his pitches. Three years in college could well see Franco solidify himself as a first round pick in 2027. | |||||||||||
