| Summary: While we had an Aussie get drafted at the top of the draft in 2024, there has never been an international player with as much buzz to make it to campus in the United States as Sasaki. The negative is an easy one to point to, the body. He is the furthest thing from skinny and is truly a 1B only prospect, but the power is unmatched and has easy 70 grade raw power. He has a good feel to get the barrel on the ball and looked solid in the MLB Draft League over the summer, although the batting average is a bit concerning. He then moved over to the Appy League, and lived up to all the expectations in a short nine game stay. He should be a force in the middle of the Cardinal order right from opening day and will be a draft eligible sophomore in 2026. | |||||||||||
