| Summary: Kirk is an advanced strike thrower who fits in well with the non-flashy, but super effective arms that are pretty commonplace for Virginia. The fastball is 88-91 but it comes out of a 3/4 slot with a quick arm action that hides the ball really well allowing it to play well above the radar gun numbers. He tunnels a change really well from 77-79 where it lacks depth but the deception is elite and it can really make hitters look foolish at times. He has a mid-70s breaking ball that really runs but lacks a ton of depth. Overall, this is a really nice package that is an easy rotation projection and plenty of room to grow in the frame. | |||||||||||
