| Summary: Nunnallee cracked a loaded Virginia lineup right from opening day, and is a future star for the Cavaliers. The biggest question is where he is gonna play, because he can play anywhere. A natural catcher, he is still raw behind the plate and he has started his collegiate career in the outfield, where I believe his future lies, although his position on the school site is “OF/C/INF”. His best tool is the hit tool, as it could develop into a plus tool with relative ease in college, but the power upside leaves something to be desired. Currently well below average, there is some hope the frame can hold more strength and it can translate into average pop. He is not the greatest athlete and the arm is fringy, so finding a way to stick as a catcher long term will really improve his value, the profile for a future left fielder will certainly be reliant on the ability to add power to the bat. | |||||||||||
