| Summary: The best fastball-change combo in the 2026 class belongs to Knaak who will run his fastball up to 96 while sitting 90-92 with plenty of life, then pull the string on a change that flirts with double plus. He throws it in any count and in any sequence, not afraid to triple up on the pitch. It sits between 77-82 with a screwball-esque shape and just absolutely wreaks havoc on hitters. He does feature a solid breaking ball in the upper-70s but it can get slurvy and works more as a pitch to keep hitters honest more than a put away offering at this point. He has a pretty shower arm back and there is some effort, but he attacks the zone. If the breaking ball makes strides over the next 18 months, he will have an argument to be the top arm off the board in 2026. Without strides on that third offering, he still has a shot to be an effective starter as a pro, but the reliever risk is real. | |||||||||||
