| Summary: Tools and athleticism define Patrick, but future polish will determine his ultimate success. He has double plus run times and a plus arm meaning he can play center, but could also develop into an elite defender in right. The athleticism does struggle to come through at the plate, as there is a stiffness to his swing, but there is also plenty of strength there. If a pitcher makes a mistake in the inner half, he will do damage, although he struggles on the outer half. He does not expand the zone much so he will get on base, but those pitches, especially spin, require him to cover the whole plate to take advantage of the hold in his swing. Five tool upside gives him a massive ceiling, but being 19 on draft day and tools over polish also makes him a player with plenty of risk. | |||||||||||
