| Summary: How early a team is willing to pull the trigger on Jackson is dependent upon their belief in his ability to stick in center. I am one who believes he does as he has fantastic instincts which make his above-average speed play up in the position. He does not have a cannon of an arm, but it is no wet noodle either, so he could pay right in a pinch too. There is real platoon risk and hit tool questions, although teams playing the shift and rotating in lefty arms out of the pen aren’t things he will have to worry about as much with the rules in pro ball. When he makes contact he has average to better power, and more consistent contact could make it play more regularly toward the latter. | |||||||||||
