| Summary: A power arm with anything but a power body, Ariola is a prospect with a wide range of feelings in the scouting community. While some do see a three pitch guy with deception that will play in a rotation, I believe his future is absolutely in the bullpen. He creates a cross body delivery with an arm motion that is not the most fluid, there are command concerns and some question how well the stuff will hold up deep into outings on an every fifth day schedule. The stuff is undeniable though, with a fastball that sits mid-90s with plenty of life, a sharp cutting slider in the mid-80s, and a good two plane curve he can really snap off. The ceiling is a guy with three plus pitches and average command, although it is probably more like three average to better pitches and below average command | |||||||||||
