| Summary: Bogenpohl has a ton of tools and carries his larger frame well in the field. While he certainly can play center field, he will never be an elite defender there and his best position long term is right. The arm is above average but plays even better as he is accurate with his throws and gets on top of the ball well, preventing a tail which helps with said accuracy. The hit tool is a bit of a question as he will swing through the ball too much, especially on fastballs up or spin, but he doesn’t expand the zone much. The power is definitely there, hitting 20 home runs as a freshman, breaking Ryan Howard’s school freshman record, and is on pace to match that number again this year. The pop plays above average already but the raw is an easy 60, if not 65. If he does not enter the portal this year, he has a very good shot to be the first mid-major player off the board in 2026. | |||||||||||
