| Summary: A draft eligible sophomore with an injury history is not exactly an ideal profile, but there is a lot to like with Boaz. He made his way into the rotation right from the jump as a freshman, but threw only 39 innings before his season ended and he went under the knife to get an internal brace put in. Now that he is back, he has seen time in both the rotation and out of the pen, but he has the makings of a genuine starting pitcher prospect. His fastball sits in the low-90s but he can run it up to 95 to go with a two-plane slider that has plus upside. The changeup needs to improve a good amount before it can be counted on as a pitch that can get pro hitters out, but the command is certainly average giving him number four or five starter potential. | |||||||||||
