| Summary: A two year JuCo performer at Georgia Highlands, he transferred to Western Kentucky for this season and has been an impact bat in the center of the lineup and center field since joining the Hilltoppers. In center, his plus speed translates into him being able to really cover a ton of ground, but there is a fluidity to his movements too that make him a real quality defender at the position despite a bigger frame. At the plate he is super aggressive and that hurts the hit tool for sure, although you wouldn’t know it looking at his numbers, and there is massive power in the bat. The aggressiveness is more a lack of focusing in on a specific pitch/location he can do damage on more so than expanding the zone, as he does have good discipline in terms of chase rate. He has easy plus raw power, but also has some current game power already. If he can turn that raw power into more consistent over the wall power, he is a big league regular, so a team that believes they can make the tweaks needed will be happy to grab him earlier on day two come July. | |||||||||||
