| Summary: The son of former big leaguer Doug Waechter, Kaden has polish you might expect from someone with pro bloodlines. He has a good, controlled delivery and really fills the zone, and a pitch mix that profiles well as a starter. He has made good progress over the last year, topping out at 91 over the summer, he has been up to 94 this spring and there is plenty of projection left in the frame. He has a slider in the lower 80s that regularly gets whiffs thanks to its quality spin and two plane depth. The slider has good fade in the mid-80s that allows him to have success against righties and lefties. He is a decent two way prospect with real power at the plate, but the approach is aggressive and the future really points to sticking on the mound. | |||||||||||
