| Summary: Hill played high school ball not far from LSU, but went to Arizona State for a year before settling in at Ole Miss the last two seasons. He has seen time at short, second, and third, and will no doubt be given a chance to prove he can play short at the next level. If he does move off short, the offensive profile fits second best although he has an above average arm that would make him a quality defender at third. That offensive profile is very much hit over power with an advanced approach at the plate and a slight leg kick he controls well allowing him to get the bat to ball well. He has shown decent power this season, but the exit velocities are average at best, so it will be the hit tool that carries him offensively. I firmly believe the overall package is better than the tool for tool grade would suggest, as he just has a knack for making the big play or coming up with the big hit. | |||||||||||
