| Summary: Positionally there is still plenty to be worked out as saw time all over the diamond for Vanderbilt his freshman year, with the bulk of the starts coming in the outfield. He has plenty of speed, which translates well out there but he has solid hands and could certainly play second too. Ultimately, I believe he ends up as a center fielder long term where he can be a quality defender. While he is a switch hitter, he make much more consistent contact from the left side than the right, although both swings are quite similar with a tall, open stance to an early toe tap stride. He is polished at the plate and he shows good plate discipline, even if his overall contact rates weren’t what was to be expected in 2025. He is an aggressive base runner, but that also came back to bite him more than a few times during his freshman season. | |||||||||||
