| Summary: Neckar has big game experience, pitching for the USA 18U squad in 2022 as one of the youngest players on the squad. He has some track record as a quality two way guy, but the future is on the bump. He has a whippy arm action with some effort but the arm is big. His fastball gets up to 95 with armside life from a quick arm that is not the easiest to pick up thanks to a compact stroke. He has a sweeping slider that he is able to manipulate the shape on some in the low to mid 80s along with a high 70s curve that will creep into the 80s. He has a firm changeup that he mixes in periodically, but it is mostly a three pitch mix that he can rely on now. He has inconsistent command that will really need to be cleaned up for him to stick as a starter, but he has a workhorse frame and a track record of holding his stuff late in games. If the command doesn’t improve, he will still be a power reliever but, obviously, the most value would be if he can stick as a starter. | |||||||||||
