| Summary: There are plenty of quality arms making it to campus following the 2024 class, and Grim is on the short list of top arms to do so. Unlike most prep arms, Grim already has advanced pitchability and excellent command of a four pitch mix. The frame and stuff are anything but power, but that doesn’t mean the stuff isn’t real. The fastball has good ride working into the low 90s but it plays up thanks to a quick arm just lower than 3/4 slot and regularly misses bats or induces soft contact. The breaking balls flash quality but he can get under both a bit too often and they will sail arm side on him. He also mixes in a changeup occasionally to help round out his arsenal. | |||||||||||
